Marcia Gay Harden

Marcia Gay Harden, an American actress, was born on August 14, 1959, in La Jolla, California. She has built a distinguished career in film, television, and theater, earning critical acclaim and numerous accolades for her versatile performances.

Harden's film debut came in 1990 with the Coen brothers' Miller's Crossing, where she portrayed Verna Bernbaum. This role garnered attention and set the stage for future opportunities in Hollywood. Throughout the early 1990s, she appeared in films such as Late for Dinner (1991) and Used People (1992), showcasing her range as an actress.

A significant milestone in Harden's career was her portrayal of artist Lee Krasner in the 2000 film Pollock. Her compelling performance earned her the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, solidifying her status in the industry.
